A sale abroad is not invoiced like a sale in Morocco
When you sell for export or to a company based in a free zone, your invoice must generally carry a specific statement, and the VAT rate is not the same. On m2m.ma, the choice is made invoice by invoice. The same business can therefore sell in Morocco on Monday and abroad on Tuesday, without changing any general setting.
When preparing your invoice, select the Export or Free zone scheme. VAT goes to 0%, the statement appears on the document and the foreign sales account is suggested to you. Your foreign customer can be registered without an ICE, with their country shown on the invoice.
What follows automatically
You don't have to remember an account number or rewrite your statement on every invoice. The text comes from your settings, and you can adapt it with your accountant. These sales are then shown separately in your reports, so you can see what export represents in your business.
- 0% rate applied automatically
- Editable exemption statement
- Foreign customer accepted without an ICE
- Suitable sales account suggested
- Scheme can also be passed through the API, order by order
Keep your supporting documents
An exemption generally comes with documents to keep, such as the customs declaration. Store them in the Documents section, where you can find them easily in the event of an inspection. You can share them with your accountant, file by file, so that they have everything they need without asking you again.
What m2m.ma does not decide for you
The platform applies the scheme you select. It does not check that your transaction meets the conditions for an exemption: these depend on the nature of the sale, your customer's status and the texts in force. A sale to a company in a free zone, for example, is not necessarily treated like a standard export. Before issuing your first invoices, ask your accountant to confirm what applies to your business and the exact wording of the statement.
Once this framework is confirmed, the daily work remains simple: a choice in the invoice, a supporting document stored in the right place, and clear tracking of what you sell abroad.
