Books that keep themselves as you work
A small business's accounting often falls behind, because it comes after the work. On m2m.ma, it is built from what you already do. Each validated invoice and each recorded payment becomes an entry, in double entry, under the Moroccan chart of accounts (CGNC). You don't need to know account numbers for your routine transactions.
Your expenses follow the same path. You choose a category you understand, such as rent, telephone or CNSS, and the right account is used. Your bank statements are then checked against your invoices and your entries.
What you find in the Accounting section
These statements are available for the period of your choice, with no retyping. They complement each other and allow a professional to trace a balance back to the original document.
- Journal, trial balance and general ledger, exportable
- Income statement and balance sheet, for running your business
- VAT preparation according to your scheme and filing frequency
- Depreciation schedule for your long-lasting assets
- Corrections by reversal entry, with no deletion
Your accountant's role remains intact
m2m.ma does not replace your chartered accountant. The balance sheet and income statement shown are management presentations: the statutory financial statements and the tax return package remain to be prepared with them. Depreciation charges are not posted automatically, and VAT is filed on the DGI portal.
Invite your accountant into your workspace, with the access you choose. They can enter their entries and prepare your returns, or only view and download. In Documents, they see only the files you share.
Tools designed for accounting firms
An accountant needs only one account to look after several businesses, brought together in a single view. A check started with one click looks for duplicate and missing invoices: gaps in the numbering, a regular supplier missing for a month, bank payments with no invoice. Invoices from other software can be imported by file, in CSV and UBL formats.
You can still retrieve your data at any time, with an export by period: Excel tables, PDF invoices, attachments, statements and reports. For any tax or legal question about your business, your accountant remains your first point of contact.
